Asato Ma Sadgamaya is a Shanti mantra for peace. It's taken from Brihadaranyaka Upanishads and it's believed that the recitation of these verses brings inner peace to the chanter.
This is a morning mantra best chanted at sunrise. The best healing crystals to meditate with are Citrine, Jasper and Tiger's Eye as they are all fire stones. Hold on to them or wear them as you chant.
Asato mā sadgamaya
Tamasomā jyotir gamaya
Mrityormāamritam gamaya
Oṁ śhānti śhānti śhāntiḥ
From ignorance, lead me to truth;
From darkness, lead me to light;
From death, lead me to immortality

Meaning
Asat - Unreal, non-existence, untruth, ignorance
Ma - Me
Sat (sad) - Reality, truth,
Gamaya gam - Movement
Gamaya - Move or lead
Tam (tamas) - Darkness, ignorance
Jyoti (jyotir) - Light, clarity, purity
Mrityu (mrityor) - Death
Amrita (amritam) - Deathlessness, ambrosia
Om - Word of creation
Shanti - Peace
