An ancient prayer from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Asato mā sad gamaya,

Tamaso mā jyotir gamaya,

Mṛtyor māmṛtaṃ gamaya

This translates to:

From the unreal lead me to reality,

From the darkness lead me to the light,

From death, lead me to immortality
